The largest independent organization for nature conservation.
WWF carries out projects in all degraded environmental areas under threat throughout our geographical regions. River forests, wetlands, forest fires, wildlife habitats at risk and so on.
It also takes an active role in the control and conservation of animal species through research, construction of hábitats, cleaning up of coastal zones and emergency action in the case of natural disasters as was the unfortunate case after the oil spillage from the Prestige (ship)
Work is carried out throughout the year in many different parts of Spain. Many of these activities are organized within the framework of the OAPN, a voluntary scheme for the Autonomous Institute of National Parks but also in other natural spaces where WWF Spain work. These natural spaces include: PN Tablas de Daimiel(Ciudad Real), PN Cabañeros(Toledo-Ciudad Real), Finca de Lugarnuevo(Jaen) o the island chain Chinijo (Lanzarote), The Regional Park in the South east of Madrid, La Sierra del Rincón(Madrid),Parque Natural de Doñana(Huelva). These among others.

WWF is the world’s leading independent conservation organisation. Our mission is to create a world where people and wildlife can thrive together.
To achieve our mission, we're finding ways to help transform the future for the world’s wildlife, rivers, forests and seas; pushing for a reduction in carbon emissions that will avoid catastrophic climate change; and pressing for measures to help people live sustainably, within the means of our one planet.
We’re acting now to make this happen
